What is the "Tsugaru Brand?"

     The Tsugaru Brand is the official name for the delicious agricultural goods, and the specialty products made from them, that have been harvested in Tsugaru City. Approved by the Tsugaru Brand Promotion Committee, the eight Tsugaru Brand agricultural products are: rice, apples, watermelons, green onions, tomatoes, nagaimo (Chinese yams), gobou (burdock) and melons. These products are represented by Tsugāru-chan, Tsugaru City's adorable mascot character. They can be bought at local grocery stores and the local product markets throughout Tsugaru.
